Living In: Akron, Ohio, USA
About me:
When I was still living with my parents, we had servants at home. They took care of the housekeeping and cooking too. I had never cooked an actual meal myself until I left home and moved to Singapore for my first job. From there, I started to develop the interests to learn how to bake and cook. First thing I did was to collect recipes from Mom. But even then, I didn't cook much because we ate out most of the time. A few years ago, we moved to United States. It's so far away from home but it left me with no choice but to really learn how to bake and cook. I got hooked from then on. I surf the net to hunt for recipes and love to look at cookbooks. I try new recipes when I have a chance. I love to cook for my family and for other people too. I do love potlucks. I think potluck is a good chance to try on new recipes. With so many dishes served at potluck, not many people would know that you are the one who brought that awful dish. *winks*

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed on Aug. 25, 2008 by tokyolife
Make this almost everyday for breakfast. Very easy and quick to prepare. I never use milk, just water instead. I also added 2 tsp sugar to batter, sprinkles a little chopped raisins and walnuts while cooking, and eat the pancake as is, no syrup or additional butter. Using teflon pan is great because no oil is needed. And they are still fluffy pancakes. Yum!

Creamy Hot Cocoa

The first time I made this hot chocolate, I totally forgot to add vanilla extract and I also simply run out of half-and-half cream, but still it turned out to be the best home-made hot chocolate ever.
