About me:
I'm 39 and live with a difficult man to cook for/with. He's an outstanding cook. Very meat & potato. He loves beef, shrimp, chicken, pork. He will eat only FRESH veggies, rarely anything baked, broiled, boiled, or baked. Hates mushrooms, strawberries, mustard, lemon. God, I so need help coming up with more creative idea's to please his pallet. Does not like salt, period point blank. Not into much seasoning at all.

Gobble Up Granola Snacks

Reviewed on Aug. 16, 2008 by tahoegirl
oh, these are delightful. the crispy rice adds a nice light crunch. i used 2/3 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup corn syrup, 1/2 cup honey, a healthy glob of creamy peanut butter, (1/4 cup wheat germ and 1/8 cup ground flax seed -- just because), 1/2 cup chopped almonds, 1 cup cranberries, and a handful of chocolate chips. i pressed hard in a coated pan with hands -- no crumbles. wonderful!

Basil Tomato Soup

Reviewed on Aug. 16, 2008 by Mrs.Stvnsn
My husband and I both thought this was fantastic, and honestly better than our favorite soup joint. I wasn't a huge fan of all the fat though, so I used less than half of the butter it called for, and part half-and-half w/ part milk instead of heavy cream. It had great taste and was still creamy, but much healthier. For my own taste, I added salt, pepper, a little extra sugar, and sauteed onions and garlic. I think the additions and substitutions made it a five - added a lot of flavor.
