 I was raised by my grandparents. My Grandmother was old school...Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner from scratch (until she got too old). I never learned to cook until I moved out on my own...and wasn't really serious about it until I got married for the second time and had children. I aquired all of my Gma's recipes when we had to put her in a home and started going over all of my favorites. My Father was also a professional cook and had two restaurants in Bristol, TN before he moved on to the Pizza Hut Corp.

Bacon and Tomato Cups

I made this for a fantasy football party this year, and it was a huge hit! I had several people that told me they generally don't like onions, but they loved these... I have been asked to make them several times since. One change that I made was with the amount of mayo. I didn't measure exactly, but I put in just enough to make it moist. The recipe seems to call for too much as is. Very good recipe, and I would recommend it to cooks at any level.

Miner's Chili

Not all that hot and no real 'chili' flavor. The jar of sauce detracts from the taste in my opinion. Sorry, just not really even chili to me.

Amber's Sesame Chicken

I love Asian, and I've made a lot of dishes from this site, but this has got to be one of the worst. It has little flavor, the breading doesn't stick, and it's just missing something...or a few somethings.
