Mushroom Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
This is a great base recipe! I substituted chicken breasts for the pork chops and browned them in olive oil, then removed them from the pan. I then sweated the onion and a clove of chopped garlic, then added and sauteed the mushrooms until softened. I added the can of soup mixed w/ 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup white wine, then added the chicken breasts back in. I then put the pan (covered) into the oven at 350 for 25 min., and the chicken was perfect...very yummy dinner. served w/ mashed potatoes.

Fast and Easy Tofu Lo-Mein

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
Three stars for taste, four for ease of preparation. I just wasn't that impressed... it's esentially frozen vegetables over ramen noodles. But I wasn't expecting to be wowed. Good for a "what can I make with virtually nothing?" type recipe.

Original Nestle® Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
I don't know why people have said that their cookies came out flat. I have relied on this recipe forever, as it was my grandmother's fave as well. I do make sure that my eggs and butter are at room temperature before starting...don't know if that could make a difference.

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
Easy classic recipe! Worth the effort. You know that unmistakable sound the canned stuff makes as it slithers out of can? No more! FYI...this is the same as Cranberry Sauce I.

A classic! No fail and who doesn't love a rice krispie treat?? You just have to be sure to not dawdle when mixing it together. The stuff hardens quickly!

Chinese Spicy Hot And Sour Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
AWESOME SOUP! I made it as directed, except I used canned straw and oyster mushrooms. I also added a hefty teaspoon of Sriracha because I didn't see any ingredients in the recipe that would make this "spicy". I'm so glad I did. The end result was absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much for this recipe!

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
Just took a batch out of the oven and they're great. I followed the recipe exactly then added pecans toward the end. My kids love them. Can't wait for my hubby to try them when he gets home. This will be my go-to recipe for chocolate chip cookies now. The cookies are crisp on the outside yet soft and chewy in the center. Perfect!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
Ok, so this is the first review that i would give a 10 if I could.. We all know that finding THE BEST chocolate chip cookie is very difficult. I live in chile so i couldnt try the award winning chocolate chip cookies from this site due to the lack of ingredients.. i finally found chocolate chips in the supermarket so I decided to try this. Im a fan of making thinks from scratch so even though award winning cookies must be great, just knowing it has premade and premixed things isnt appealing to me. this is THE chocolate chip cookie. dont make them small, the idea is to have a big fat chewy cookie, i made them with a heaping tablespoon of dough and they are huge! I didnt sift the flour, I whisked it. I also used 1 3/4 cups chocolate chips because the ones I found were slightly smaller than the ones sold in the states. I also measured my flour by measured tablespoons. (32 tablespoons) to have the best results. I beated the butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs but not the flour, I mixed it in with a wooden spoon then added the chocolate chips great recipe. wouldnt change a thing in the ingredients!

Pork Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
Not good at all. I am dumbfounded by the great reviews of this. It was so bland and unappetizing! The sauce just tasted of flour paste. I didn't change a single thing about this recipe and I wish that I had... more spices, less flour... something! At least it was just a waste of leftover pork and cheap spaghetti noodles. Thanks anyway.
