I love to cook, and watch food network on tv...but don't expect me to cook much of what I see on tv - I'm far to picky an eater.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed on Aug. 14, 2008 by happymommyx4
Excellent recipe! My children and I made 3 batches in 3 days! They had so much fun making them that they invited friends over to make them. We consistently made one change, per previous reviewers suggestions we adjusted the amount of flour to 4 cups. It was the perfect amount. I would adjust the sugar amount depending on what you want to do with them. If you want a sweet pretzel, keep it as is, if you want it more savory cut the amount in half. I have added cinnamon and raisins to the dough and it was delicious. I imagine the possibilities are endless. Incidentally, don't skip the baking soda step. It is what gives the exterior a nice chewy texture.

Amish White Bread

My twelve-year-old daughter made this recipe (with a little help from Mom) and it turned out beautifully! It was delicious and had such a lovely flavor. If you are looking for a simple fool-proof bread recipe, you found it.

Cinnamon Ice Cream

Reviewed on Jul. 2, 2008 by Denise L Davis
I chose this as the first recipe in my new tiny little ice cream maker. Very easy instructions, kept in fridge overnight, churned it the next night. then placed in freezer container. excellent. i just passed it out at work and everyone called me Martha Stewart! I will definitely make this again. and luckily i still have some in my freezer at home since everyone at worked gobbled up what i brought :))
