Fire Roasted Vegetarian Gumbo

Reviewed on Nov. 5, 2008 by LilBearinka
This is a very good recipe, although it is seriously high maintenance. I followed the directions very closely (although I never figured out what 'file powder' was/is) and it still had a nice kick to it. I ate this with whole wheat bread and my husband ate it with crackers--both were excellent.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed on Oct. 13, 2008 by cooking4fun
I can only rate half the recipe which were the meatballs! These were the best meatballs I've made thus far! I was very leary about the lack of ingredients. The recipe did not call for onion, which I have always put into my meatballs prior...well never again. These meatballs had so much flavor AS IS!!! I buy my hamburger meat in bulk and make a TON (I multiplied this recipe by 3) of meatballs to freeze for future uses. I did have to bake them since I was not putting them into a sauce to cook. These were phenomenal! So juicy, moist tender and FULL of Flavor! I will use this as my meatball recipe from here on out!

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed on Oct. 2, 2008 by wv_mtnr_cook_78
5++++++. This is absolute the best pepper steak I have ever tasted. So tender! I added the pepper in the beginning for we like the peppers soft. I did add an additional beef cube, and doubled the hot water, cornstarch, and soy sauce. Served with rice.
