Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
This was O.K. as written, but I prefer to use half the amount of cream cheese, and keep all other measurments the same. This modification is definitely sweeter, but I think the recipe as written allows the cream cheese to be overbearing and it makes me think that it belongs on a bagel rather than my cake.

WE LOVE THIS DISH!!! I've made it 3x already and everyone absolutely loves it. It's the perfect side dish. You can prepare it ahead of time, then stick it in the oven and "fuhgetaboutit"!

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
This was really good - I made it as stated. My sons, hubby, & grandkids who happened to be over when I made this, also really liked it. I save the ends of bread that don't get used for sandwiches during the week, by throwing them in the freezer. I used all my ends just for this recipe and even with bread ends it was still good! I will make this again!

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
We loved this recipe!! I love that it makes such a creamy sauce without the use of canned soup! I reduced it to four servings and added minced garlic, sauteed onions & mushrooms and a can of mixed vegetables although I really wanted to add frozen peas instead but didn't have any in the freezer :o( Next time I will try adding the peas for sure! We ate this for dinner and then polished off the leftovers for lunch the next day! Yummy

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
Great recipe and very easy to make. My family does really love the balsamic vinegar, but if you're not a big fan I would substitute some chicken broth and cut back on it.

Pepper Jelly Appetizer

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
My mother has been serving this for years so I decided to take it to a get together. How easy is it?! A block of cream cheese on a plate topped with prepared pepper jelly. I was a little unsure when I first set in out in front of the guests...one or two actually looked at me like I was nuts, but after they tried it they were hooked. The next party, they asked if I'd bring two:)

Easy Cajun Jambalaya

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
Very good. Whole family loved this. I altered the seasonings however and used a Cajun seasoning. Because of the kids I skimped a little and it turned out a little bland. I need to try again and follow the recipe as written on the seasonings. Everyone still loved it.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
Absolutely fabulous!!! I colored my icing and had the different colors in pastry bags and with a tip #5 (which could vary depending on how big the cookie is) I piped the icing onto each cookie...as long as your consistency is tacky-like, you can pipe just near the edges without it overflowing down the sides. Produces very professional looking cut-outs. You do need a good few hours for it to set up enough to stack cookies.
