Houston, Texas

Named after General Sam Houston, Houston is the largest city in the state of Texas. Other factoids also put the city at the top of the heap: it’s the 4th largest city in the US; the theater district has the second largest number of theater seats in a downtown area; it’s home to the largest medical center in the world—and the city’s temperature really gets up there too. Houstonians take refuge in the 11,000 air-conditioned restaurants, eating out more than any other city’s residents—and for good reason. Houston’s Tex-Mex is about as good as it gets, and there’s a reason people can’t stop talking about Texas BBQ.

This is the BEST!!!!!!! I am not a pot pie eater, but had tons of turkey left over from Thanksgiving and the rest of my family likes the pot pies so I looked up this recipe and HAD to try it. OMG, WONDERFUL!!!!!!! I used a bag of mixed veggies and like i said it was the best.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed on Dec. 4, 2008 by kim1430
This was really good the only thing I do not understand is WHY my new crock pot is not making my meat tender? I bought a bigger crock pot and for some reason the 2 times I have used it, my meat is VERY tough. Maybe it is the meat I am using. First time I used pork butt and the 2nd time I used rump roast... I have NEVER used these 2 types of meat and both times I have used my new crock pot. If anyone has suggestions please help! The flavor of this was excellent, I just wish my meat was tender.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed on Dec. 4, 2008 by kim1430
This chili is the best! It was my first time making chili and it didn't last in my house. The only thing I changed was I didn't use tomato juice so I used a can of diced tomatoes and a can of rotel, couldn't find a 29 oz can of tomato sauce and saw puree and bought that and it was wonderful.Thank you so much for sharing George.
