Million Dollar Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
The fudge tasted amazing, and this was the very first time I tried to make fudge. The only problem I had was the fudge was a little too soft when handling it. I was looking to get something that was a little firmer but with the same texture this fudge had in your mouth. If anyone knows any tips on how to firm up the fudge a bit, I would welcome all advice! I also boiled the sugar mixture for an extra 2 min (I live at over 6000 feet in elevation, I always cook things a few minutes longer), and I used milk chocolate instead of the German chocolate. However, I will use the German chocolate next time as the recipe calls for.

Iced Coffee

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
I didn't use the hot water, just blended in the instant coffee granules with everything else. I used white chocolate syrup instead of milk. Nice way to wake up this morning, and it felt great on my sore throat. TIP: You don't really need that many ice cubes, just a few will do you just fine. Otherwise, it's a little ice-chippy.

Caribbean Breeze

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
This is very good. A little sweet, so next time I make this I might use grapefruit juice instead of orange, seeing as there's orange vodka in it. These could be dangerous, as you can't really tell that there's alcohol in it! I'd make these often.

Apple Walnut Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
This is SO good. I had two small bowls this morning with my pumpkin muffins. Even my kids asked for seconds. I didn't sprinkle extra nuts on the top, but I left everything else the same. This will most definetely be made again, perhaps on Christmas morning! WTG, Shana!

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
Yum! I used 2 C brown sugar, 1 C peanut butter and 3 C confectioner's sugar. Next time, I will also cut the fudge before I cool it.

Crunchy Turkey Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
This was a GREAT recipe for my leftover thanksgiving turkey! For the most part I stuck to the recipe, but I did change the quantities. I added more turkey & walnuts and less apple & celery. It definitly needed more turkey than 1 cup. My own twist was to add about 1/4 cup dried cranberries and that gave it a nice zing. I liked this sandwich a lot, but it could be served as a salad a well.

Sausage Stuffed Jalapenos

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
This recipe is SO GOOD! I used Hot Italian Sausage with Parmesan Cheese. I took it to a Bronco party and the jalapenos were gone before the game even started. We didn't think there was a need for the ranch dressing.

Premier White Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
This was very easy to put together and baked up nicely in exactly 25 minutes. I did not have sliced almonds, so left them off, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. The texture is a bit more cakelike than brownie-like, but it is a very nice, mild white chocolate snack cake. Would make a great base for some other flavors, mix-ins or toppings. Thanks for sharing!

Beef Taco Skillet

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
This was really great... very easy too! I didn't have any flour tortillas so I used 3 cups of elbow macaroni, measured before cooking. It worked well, with a little leftover. I made the recipe for 10 since there were guys over to play guitars and jam a little with my boyfriend. It made ALOT but they devoured it and had 3 bowls each which left just enough for one bowl for myself and a little leftover for lunch. I added chopped onion, chopped garlic, cayenne, and a no salt organic seasoning which I picked up at Costco some time back and this really turned out tasty!

Coconut Bon Bons

To all those having trouble keeping the balls on the toothpicks, try putting them in the freezer for an hour instead of the fridge. They will get firmer and hold on to the toothpicks better. This recipe is just like my favorite candy bar.
