About me:
 I am a 47 year old "housewife" who just became a grandma for the first time on July 07, 2006. To say the very least, he is the joy of my heart and I can't wait to bake cookies with him. I come from a long line of old country cooks and love to cook from scratch. I didn't realize until I was married a few years that you could buy egg noodles in the store. I made that mistake once and my family has never let me forget it! LOL My dream is to move back to the small town in Nebraska my family helped homestead 100 years ago and carry on the tradition of cooking for others. Great Great Grandma was hired to cook for the president whenever he was in the state!! My grandmother was a restauanter and hopefully, in the next couple of years, I can say good-bye to California and hello Nebraska. Hubby is ready to go and so are my kids. Couldn't leave the grandbaby here!!! I love animals (live in a small zoo), crafts, computers, gardening, movies, and of course cooking!!

Pretzel Turtles

These are excellent! I couldn't stop eating them. They were supposed to be for my Christmas cookie trays, but...needless to say, not very many made it to the trays.

Ravioli Soup

I loved this! The only thing I didn't put in it was peas because I didn't have any. I did add 2 serrano chilis and to cool it down, a can of creamed corn. It tasted very fresh and was very healthy.

Jesse and Steve's Fresh Strawberry Cake

It's pretty good. I prefer the strawberries pureed instead of mashed though so there's no wet chunks in the cake. Like some other reviewers said, it's a nice cake for at home, but not a show-stopper. Will probably make again sometime, thanks for the recipe!
