The World's Best Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
After searching for a good turkey recipe, I was confidant that this was it. This recipe did not disappoint. I had a free very large Foster Farms turkey 24.5 pounds. I pretty much followed the recipe with the exception that I injected the turkey with a whole bottle of cajun butter injection. I did the butter under the skin and seasoned the WHOLE turkey with salt pepper and garlic. Since it was such a large bird, I did use the whole bottle of champagne and I used a very dry type. I cooked the turkey in my convection oven on 325 for four hours. Two hours breast side down and then the rest breast side up. I let the turkey rest in the bag for about an hour. Using a very sharp knife, I was finally able to carve a turkey the way it was supposed to be done. This turkey was by far the best turkey ever. So juicy even almost a week afterwards. I froze the remaining since there was so much good meat. Thanks for a great super easy recipe.

Cranberry Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
I made these last year (Christmas) with what I had in my kitchen. They were a refreshing change from all the other rich and chocolate goodies. I made them again for Thanksgiving and received good reviews. Nice with coffee.

Easy Grilled Tri Tip

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
Very nice and simple, tasty recipe. Although it does not seem to make a lot it does flavor the meat adequately. Marinaded overnight and grilled, delicious! Definitely easy.

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
Very nice and moist turkey with a heavenly smell!! Mixed it up the night before and adjusted amounts for a 20 lb bird. My husband added some butter to this when rubbing the excess on top of the breast along with 1/2 cup of wine to the pan. Wonderful recipe, made excellent gravy. Yummy. This is a keeper, thanks!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
This pie is a "wow". I'm so glad I made it! Now that I've had this, there's no going back to plain ole cheesecake or traditional pumpkin pie! After looking at some of the other reviews, I just doubled the spices and baked it in a water bath. It came out perfect.

African Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
I tried this recipe because some people from the "Peanut Butter Chili" recipe site said it was like the "African Chicken Stew" recipe. They are nothing alike! This recipe was bland with carrots and celery... the garbanzo beans didn't really go with it. It was like eating generic peanuts. My husband thought it was okay, but he likes "Peanut Butter Chili" better, and we both agree that "Peanut Butter Chicken" was REALLY good!! Seeing other peoples reviews, and the extra ingredients they added, a can of diced tomatoes would've been a good idea. I figured that since "Peanut Butter Chicken" does that, I won't add it in this recipe, but, yeah, this recipe is bland, with fake peanuts...

I followed the recipe exactly and thought it was great! Quick, easy and tasty. I will switch things up to add my own flair next time, but I think the recipe as is, was great.

Biscotti

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
This is a great recipe. I cut it down to 14 servings, and cut them a bit thick and ended up with only 6. The idea of cutting it with a pizza cutter is great. I don't like anise, so I substituted with coconut extract. My husband couldn't wait for me to make coffee, he just started eating one! I had to stop him. Thank You JANDEE, and JANDEE's friend from work!

Peanut Butter Chicken

This is really good. My husband and I both liked it. There are peanut butter food recipes where I've found the peanut butter to be overpowering, so I only added half a cup. It was great. The
